Sword of the Morning

I really wanted to capture the Sword of the Morning in some striking inks. I didn't quite get there, but I did run this a few times and had some improved results.

I like the stronger lines on his face as opposed to the more realistic curves. Adding some hatching really accented small parts of the armor. Of course, there's tons more to do to make this a finished piece, but I really wanted to practice the ink style. I'll take it for now. 

Here are two of my earlier iterations, I did all three today, but it highlights the progression and corrections.
